Vision:

A green rural Maharashtra where soil and water conservation practices are embedded in all activities in the rural areas 

Mission:

1. Promoting the construction of water harvesting structures and ensuring their proper maintenance Promoting soil and water conservation practices on the watershed basis for effective scientific management of scarce resources Promote social forestry 
2. Create general awareness: make soil and water conservation a normal practice in rural Maharashtra

Function:

1. To construct and maintain all minor irrigation structures below 250 Hectares.
2. To construct and maintain soil and water harvesting structures with people's participation.
3. To create awareness and capacity building on soil and water conservation issues 
4. To create awareness and promote `Social Forestry' 
5. To promote proper utilization of water harvesting structures 

Objective:

1. To spend at least 85% of the State funds made available by 31.03.2012 
2. To attain certain physical targets in the Water Conservation Department. 
3. To complete good quality training and preparatory activities for IWMP 
4. To initiate certain long term measures in improving the working of Director Soil Conservation. 
5. To promote people's participation in soil and water conservation activities 
6. To create and activate the Water Utilization Division in Local Sector 
7. To make verification of created assets in irrigation and create a database 
8. To use Social Forestry as a medium for capacity building of Gram Panchayats in massive tree planting. 
9. To initiate steps for the reorganization of the Social Forestry Department. 
10. To start the process of monitoring and evaluation in the Water Conservation Department 

POST-WCD [जलसंधारण अधिकारी (स्थापत्य) गट-ब अराजपत्रित]

शैक्षणिक पात्रता:

उमेदवाराने शासनाने मान्यता दिलेली तीन वर्षे कालावधीची स्थापत्य अभियांत्रिकी मधील पदविका (Diploma in Civil Engineering) किंवा तिच्याशी समतुल्य अर्हता यामध्ये मान्यताप्राप्त विद्यापीठाकडून/ महाराष्ट्र राज्य तंत्रशिक्षण संचालनामार्फत घेण्यात येणा-या खालील प्रमाणे पदविका (कालावधी-3 वर्ष)

• सिव्हील व रुरल इंजिनिअरिंग मधील पदविका.
• सिव्हील इंजिनिअरिंग आणि रुरल कन्स्ट्रक्शन मधील पदविका.
• ट्रान्सपोर्टेशन इंजिनिअरिंग मधील पदविका.
• कन्स्ट्रक्शन टेक्नॉलॉजी मधील पदविका.

नेमणुकीच्या सर्वसाधारण अटी:

1) उमेदवार हा महाराष्ट्रातील रहिवासी असावा (डोमिसाईल प्रमाणपत्र धारण करणे आवश्यक) अर्जदाराने महाराष्ट्र राज्याचा रहिवासी असल्याचे शासनाने प्राधिकृत केलेल्या सक्षम अधिकाऱ्यांचे प्रमाणपत्र आवश्यक आहे.

2) सेवाप्रवेश नियमानुसार उमेदवारास मराठी भाषेचे ज्ञान असणे आवश्यक आहे.

3) विहित वयोमर्यादेतील शासकीय, निमशासकीय सेवेतील कर्मचाऱ्यांनी त्यांचे अर्ज त्यांचे कार्यालय प्रमुखांच्या परवानगीने विहित मार्गाने विहित मुदतीत अधिकृत संकेतस्थळावरून ऑनलाईन भरावे व अशा परवानगीची प्रत उमेदवारांकडे असणे आवश्यक आहे व त्याबाबतची कागदपत्रे छाननीच्या वेळी सादर करावी.

रिक्षेचे स्वरूप:- ऑनलाईन परिक्षा

ऑनलाईन परिक्षेच्या प्रश्नपत्रिकेचे स्वरूप व कार्यक्रम:-

1. ऑनलाईन परिक्षेची प्रश्नपत्रिका वस्तुनिष्ठ, बहुपर्यायी स्वरूपाची असेल. सर्व प्रश्न सोडवणे आवश्यक आहे. बहुपर्यायी प्रश्नांसाठी दिलेल्या चार पर्यायांपैकी एकच पर्याय निवडावा. (निगेटिव्ह) नकारात्मक गुणपध्दत (मार्क सिस्टिम) अवलंबिण्यात येईल. तसेच प्रत्येक चार चुकीच्या उत्तरामागे एका प्रश्नाचे गुण एकूण गुणांमधुन वजा करण्यात येतील.

2. जलसंधारण अधिकारी (स्थापत्य), गट ब अराजपत्रित या पदाची ऑनलाईन परिक्षा पदासंबंधीचे तांत्रिक ज्ञान, इंग्रजी, मराठी, चालू घडामोडी, सामान्य ज्ञान आणि बुध्दीमत्ता चाचणी यावर आधारीत असेल.
